What do you like to drink?

Just read about the wine tasting at NAPA and wondered what your favorite drink is and why. What do you drink with what? I grew up on a farm in a religious family that never drank anything but water, milk and homemade lemonade or Koolaid. So still am not all that thrilled with carbonated stuff. Don't like the flavor of coffee. But do like a bland plain iced tea.

I was raised in the country and we had cows...I have always hated milk.

We grew up on KoolAid, because Mother couldn't drink tea.

After my kids were grown I started keeping POP in the house.  I  Dr Pepper.  I try to limit my self to one a day.  Other than that I've been using the single drink packets that you mix with water or sweet tea...hot or cold.

I have never drank coffee...it hurts my stomach.

I  was raised drinking milk with every meal. On rare occasions we were allowed to have pop. That was back when a big bottle of pop was 16 ounces and you had to share that with your siblings. I love coffee and drink it all day up until about 4:00. I usually drink water or iced tea with supper. I don't drink wine real often because it tends to trigger headaches, but I like mixed drinks.

Margarita after working in the yard. Blended in the summer- icy yum and rock in the winter.

2 shots Tequila
3 shots sw sr mix- yellow stuff
1 shot triple sec
1 shot lime juice or roses lime

Only 2 shots of sw and sr if you like it to kick you a bot more
Salt the rim or just toss in the salt and mix. I use emersion blender

Just made a large batch of white sangria full of berries for my DH's Spanish Night party for guitar musicians this past weekend.  Yummmmmm!  Otherwise love Bordeaux and Cabernet Sauvignons.  Loving the Spanish wines too.

I like wine too. Sangria sounds good. I googled a couple recipes to try. I have to put the wine in a freezer mug when it is this hot. Stays nice and cold!

p.m. beer drinker here. If out dancing I love me a dirty greygoose martini or a dark beer.

Besides that I like sweet tea, mountain dew and Coffee in the a.m.

I have been drinking Minute Maid Light Raspberry Passion (made by Coke). It's a little too sweet, but great diluted with a little water. Or a diet Coke... I also try to limit those to one a day or so. I like red wines too, or white- but Chardonay gives me a headache. I've heard that it has something to do with the sulfites.

I also like those Iced Tea To Go packets that you add to a bottle of water.

I was Southern born and raised. I did have my party days and drunk Bacardi 151 rum mixed with mainly Pepsi. Now days, I might drink a glass of wine in celebration, a red or rose. The drink that I drink the most is sweet tea, leaded or unleaded.

My coffe in the morning (or later in the day if I'm feeling like it or at a coffee house  )  iced tea with lemon -- no sweet tea for me.  Occasional glass of wine while I'm cooking dinner or a frozen marguerita with friends.....

I love my Diet Dr Peppers, then the next down the line would be sweat tea. (sun brewed). I do like water also.

Mostly tea, hot or cold.
I drink one Coke most days.
I also like the new Crystal Light single packets that are not the artificial sweetened ones. Still lo cal but no artificial sweetener.

Why?
it is the only sodium free pop around!
Booze?   Never did it. 3 or 4 beers a year tops. . With my degree in Chemistry I can turn it into Amonia

I grew up in the south too, so we always drank iced tea.....Can't stand it now.....Guess I had too much of it as a kid!

I don't drink alcohol, DH is a recovery alcoholic and hasn't had a drink in 17 years, therefore, neither have I.

But I love coffee and cold water.....Drink them both all day!
