Exploring the Beauty of Shayari in English: Your Thoughts?
« on: September 17, 2024, 06:33:25 PM »
Hello everyone.

Shayari, with its roots deeply embedded in the rich traditions of Urdu poetry, often loses some of its charm when translated into English. The rhythmic and emotive nuances can be challenging to capture fully. When considering shayari in English, do you think it maintains its original essence, or does it lose something in translation?

Are there any examples where English versions have succeeded or failed to convey the depth of emotion and beauty found in the original Urdu? Share your experiences, favorite translations, or thoughts on preserving the authenticity of shayari in English.
