pictures! feedback appreciated

We started last year with a 75 gal preform pond that someone gave us.  Had a blast last year but had to bring the fish in to winter them.  Decided to dig larger pond deep enough to winter the fish here in northern Indiana.  Now have 11' X 7' oval average depth 18" with a 32" deep area the size of the old preform.  Enjoying the plants and the fish.  No koi...didn't install a drain.  We did not trim the liner so that we could play with things next spring.  I would like to hide the liner but don't want to have rocks in the water.  Ideas or suggestions?  We have enjoyed everyones posts and tips.  Finally figured out how to adjust our digital camera to take pics small enough to post.

Nice pics.  Looks like your pond fits nicely on your property.

Nice pond and set-up.  I'm thinking that if you want to hide the liner that shows above the water line and you have extra liner around the perimeter just make a ledge where one level of stone can sit below water level with the liner behind it and framing behind it with more rocks around and above liner to keep the water in new level.  Jeez, did that make any sense?  :D

OK, sounds like a plan...we weren't sure when we started, that is why we didn't trim the liner.  Hope to have much more plantings and some lighting next year as well.  Thank you for the feedback.

Looks nice.......you did a great job!  O0
We planted a lot of plants and shrubs right up to the liner that eventually grew and draped over the "necklace" of rocks, breaking it up.  In some areas we did like Annette said and tucked plants among those rocks like water celery, water forget-me-nots, mint, etc.  You will be amazed at how quickly things fill in and you don't notice the liner.

:welcome: to the forum, I'm down south.........near Terre Haute.

Is your waterfall just stacked rock?  We are still planning ours, but that is the look we want - in about that much space.

Ours will be a waterfall into a small 3' x 2' pool, then an approximately 12' creek, into a 12' x 5' pond.
