Thought it would be neat to compare the different varieties of lotus for those wanting to try them.   I only have a few to add but here goes...

The first one is baby doll which is very prolific for me.  Covered in flowers all season.

Marie this is the two I got mixed up that you sent me.  I am pretty sure they are the ones you called chinese bowl and Yulon renzui.   Birthday peach is in a tub by itself so I think they are not it.

the first one is the shortest one.

Tink..these are beautiful.  I love white flowers...will be looking for China Doll next year.  What are they growing in?
Plus did you feed them with the time release or tabs.  It's so hot here, mine have finished blooming...I might feed them one more time and see what happens.

baby doll is growing in a half whiskey barrel sunk into the ground,  If you mean her instead of china doll, you are welcome to a tuber when I devide next spring.  I like to trade or do for postage.

Momo and russian red are in preformed 500 gallon ponds, golden phoenix is also in a preformed pond and birthday peach is in a whiskey barrel burried.    I have never used the tabs  cause I have no place to buy them and there kind of expensive, I use the time release in the bottom.  I think all mine but russian red and always blooming baby doll are about done also.  I have 4 new ones this year so I didnt expect but a couple blooms out of them at best.. so far 2 of 4 have bloomed.

I got Russian Red from Tink this year - it's been blooming like crazy and the flowers are literally bigger than my head.  I'll have to post a pic later.

Tink, all of your lotuses look so so good. Nice and lush and green, not burned.
Here --well, am getting some burn.

The shorter of the two  I sent you is Chinese Bowl; other is birthday peach.  Aren't
they both pretty tho. Now, you need holy fire, which is a gorgeous one. Maybe
next spring can swap you that tuber for baby doll tuber.
