My daughter (my youngest) turned 13 today
« on: August 12, 2010, 04:29:55 PM »
Where have the years gone, I asked myself. Wasn't it just yesterday I brought her home from the hospital. Today I took her out and bought her a Birthstone ring to have, so she can look at it and see how special we think she is.  She's my baby, but not my baby anymore. She looks too mature (you know what I mean), and with blonde hair and blue eyes. I've never owned a shot gun, but I think I better be checking into it.  ;)

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

Oh, and I also picked her up a Violin off of Craigslist. Its more for school, but she loves the violin and I wanted her to have one here at home. Ever heard Michael Jackson songs played on a violin, lol, she can do it.

Ky Kim,

Happy Birthday to your daughter!  And a big one at that!

I know what you mean, they grow up too fast, my babies are 22 and 24 and I miss them!

What a beautiful peridot birthstone ring--my birthstone also!!  It is bittersweet as they grow up (gives you an idea of how YOUR mom felt too) and hopefully you grow closer as the years go by... :)

Nice ring.  I always wanted to be able to play any musical instrument...no rythum.

Mine are 30 and 31.  Wow how time flies.

Happy Birthday to your daughter, Kim. That's a beautiful ring. My daughter will be turning 14 in about a month and I'm worried like hell.... but I'm sure you feel the same.
It is soooo different today than it was when we were kids!

How sweet. I love the ring. Both my daughters and my granddaughter are born in August.

I had boys, now 27 and 29.  It's bad enough worrying about sons, but I would imagine it a lot harder having a daughter.  Beautiful ring!  I still have mine that I received at about the same age from my Mom.
