Hi Sue! We are in the middle of 'full-blown' harvest season here. DH had to stop combining beans after a day of rain and switch the head to corn. All you see around here is combines, grain trucks, and pick-ups pulling gravity carts!
The weather has been beautiful and has cooled off thankfully, and we could be looking at our first frost this weekend. I have removed all the tomatoes from the garden, dug around for stray onions, and picked hot peppers. I should get out there and clean the vines, but I'm just not feeling it.
Will have to fix supper for hubby before long (just sandwiches, chips, cookies and iced tea) he takes with him for the evening meal. He doesn't stop in the evening, but keeps combining until all the wagons, carts and combine are full. Then first thing in the morning, it's off to the grain elevator to empty everything and back to combining after lunch.
It HAS been quiet here, probably because the season is winding down.
