Yes, it a pina colada cake.  She made a 24" long log roll with pineapple/coconut icing inside.  After she cut this section of the roll she then used white fondant to cover the yellow cake and she used white icing to make the wax-like drippings.  I only got a taste of the log cake  :'(  because she took it to the folks where she has been getting some physical therapy for a hitch in her git-a-long.  The rest of the log cake is in the fridge for another function in a few days.

She did a great job! I have not yet tackled fondant!!

Made a cute giraffe cake for a baby shower last week and am making a 'corvette' b-day cake tonight.

Jessica, where did you get a cake pan shaped like a Corvette? I may do one for my wife for her next birthday. She loves Corvettes and has always wanted one. A Corvette cake, I can afford.   lol lol lol

I'd love a pina colada cake...no matter what shape was in.

My daughter has even made a wedding cake with foundant and lots of Bday cakes for her hubbys family mostly.  Baking is her stress relief.

Cute idea Mikey. Post that on Facebook and I'll tag it for some of my cake decorating friends there. Jessica's Giraffe cake was very nice too. When you get the Corvette one done, I would like to see it. A couple of my cake decorating friends owe me a favor and I might just call it in with this cake.
