Uh-oh..............after I made the pic of the deer bigger, I'm doubting myself that there is a second one.  There were actually three in the woods, but I don't think what I was looking at was one.  I thought just behind the deer, that I saw one laying down, looking straight into its face.   Sorry guys..........do you still like me.  :-\

The icicles............the whole big long tube of ice just rolled over because the heaviest ice was on top, then the wire warmed up and the ice came loose from it, so the top heavy ice just rolled around the wire, leaving the icicles on top.

lol  whew....I was really beginning to doubt myself, and was waiting for you to point out the obvious!  Yes we still love you and those deer are good at hiding themselves.  Notice how their fur is almost the same color as the trees?  And their legs look like sticks?  Most times when I'm walking I scare them up and the only thing I see are their fluffy white tails as they run in the other direction!   :D

I'm glad you explained the 'icicle on the wire' thing:  I was really beginning to doubt my scientific abilities... ;D

Seems like this weather is never-ending for all of us.  :(

Yesterday the weatherman predicted a light dusting, up to one-half inch for today.  It's hard to measure with all of the accumulated ice/snow, but we think we got close to EIGHT inches.  :'(

Watch out LuAnn, it's probably headed your way.

Yes, it came our way and we got about 3", that beats 8" tho'.  Someone needs to beat the crap out of your weatherman Karen... ;)  or maybe he needs new radar, huh?  Another one coming our way Sunday/Monday.  Granddaughters have been out of school for 6 days!

Wow Pondering, that is just a lot of snow!  And it's such a mess when it starts to melt and starts to look dirty.  Right now, it's pretty and white.  Your dog is so cute waiting for someone to play  o(:-)

What a cute little dog you have Pondering.  How much new snow did you get?

It's been calm here Sunday and so far today.  We had some thawing yesterday, but with the ice on the bottom, it just packed down tighter.  The temperature is supposed to be below freezing until next weekend, so it looks like the snow/ice is here to stay for a while.  No school here since last Monday.  Now they say that it is too dangerous, because of ice, for the kids in town to walk to school (sidewalks) and for the older ones to drive (parking lots)!

Hope it warms up for you Sue, so you can get rid of all that stuff.

Thanks Karen... we ended up getting 2-3 inches yesterday, and another inch today.  I see more flakes on the news for tomorrow but i'm not sure for how much.  Supposed to get a high of 9 tomorrow, woohoo NOT!  Big warm up into the 30's for the weekend though.  Kind-of odd to be happy about 30 degree temps.  ::)

Hey Karen....are you guys (or anyone else out there in the midwest) getting hammered with this winter storm?  It rained all day yesterday, started sleeting around 11:00 pm, turned to snow about 4 am.  High winds and a total of 5" for here, 10" just a few miles north of here expected.  I had just got the porch and sidewalks cleared yesterday and the last of the snow had melted.... >:(-  My poor birds.. :'(

lol Jerry.  How is your weather this weekend?

Funny you should ask about the shoe things LuAnn.  My sister got some this winter and I mentioned to hubby that she had them and was able to go outside.  He found me a pair in the barn, army issue (I believe WWII), no wonder our barn is such a mess.........you name it, he finds it.  Be careful, my sis still fell down.

It is cold as hell. We were supposed to be 31 last night.  Easily the coldest day of the year.
There is snow at 1000 feet!  in a week we will be back to the 70s.  i can't wait.

Beautiful icy photos Karen!  I spent way too much time looking for the second deer though!  >:(-  Thanks for correcting the Waldo's pic.  I thought I was going blind!   ;D

Jerry, oh no!  Did the torrential rains and typhoon winds blow your plastic patio chairs down everyday this past week!?! lol  The couple of nights that they predicted freezing nights I thought my fishies were going to have to invest in a heater!   :o  They're still angry that this is the first winter I haven't fed them....much.

Will have to get back to clearing all the wees  :'(d that have grown like crazy with all this abnormal rain we have been receiving!
