Cheapest here was still $3.21 this morning. Many of the other stations are $3.39 or $3.49

Every time the news says prices are going up the has stations raise them as a cast as possible! Not cool. Driving by local gas station today I saw $4.04!!!

Do you remember when corner gas stations would have "gas wars" wherein they would keep lowering their price to compete with the guy on the opposite corner. Now the gas wars seem to be who can raise their the highest..... :'( My adult children have never experienced a "gas war" nor a service station attendant coming out and pumping the gas, washing the windows and checking the oil. Nor will they ever experience getting a free cartoon glass with each fill-up... We still have a box of those cartoon glasses somewhere out in the garage....

Our best date was winning dishes at gas station and getting a free Pizza dinner and 2 movie tickets.
We saw "Ace in the Hole" with kirk Douglas!

It went up to $3.49 this morning.

Gas prices have been going up at least twice a week for the last few weeks.

I had to get gas again and it seems to have leveled off at 3.95 in gas stations I see in the area. With the turmoil in the Middle East and summer approaching I don't expect to see the price drop in the near future. We are doing less driving....

Making local trips by car is too expensive now and have to be considered in budgeting a weekend.

What used to be a $14 dollar one way drive to Mammoth is now $70 one way.

my truck is a diesel with a 40 gallon tank and diesel is $4.19 a gallon here

. I filled up yesterday and it cost me $152.71 :'( my wallet hurts!!

I paid 22 cents a gallon for Diesel a long time ago :'( It was a lot cheaper than Gasoline.
Probaly still is cheaper to make.

Yes, I too recall when diesel was cheaper than gasoline. I wonder why it is so much more now?

My thought is because more people use it. I remember it being much cheaper also, people here were converting their vehicles over to diesel. You should see all the big diesel trucks with stacks around here--almost every farm kid has one--along with their parents. DH's truck is gas, but all the farm equipment is diesel.

Well I certainly was wrong about it leveling off, way wrong. $4.06 a gallon tonight....and that was after passing up a station selling their regular at 4.09. Although I suppose I shouldn't whine too much as Kaz is likely paying nearly double what we are paying at the pump.....

It was nearly $75 to fill my tank this week. Really sux when I have to drive a long distance (some days as much as 100 miles, and occasionally 200) to do a wallpaper bid, and then never hear back from the prospective client.

I had a call from someone in Montgomery, Tx, about 40 miles as the crow flies, but it took me 2 hours due to construction, traffic jams, etc., and then anther hour home. I told her I had a buddy in nearby Conroe, but she insisted that she had heard "such wonderful things" about me that she wanted me to do the job.

Well, I invested about 4 hours and a heck of a lot of gas in that bid, and have yet to hear back from the lady. Of course, perhaps they're still undergoing remodeling and will call when it's finished and they're ready for wallpaper, but it's been 2 months, and I'm not keeping my hopes up.

I know I should probably charge for bids outside a certain mile-radious, but it's hard to ask.

Yes, the price of gas is very hard on folks who have to drive for a living. I had to do a double take today when I passed a gas station with regular priced at $4.19.....

worked in a ''service station'' ,before do it yourself ''gas stations . told the guys i put $9 worth in [i think] a 58 buick limited . no one would believe you could get that much gas in a car .

It's been $4.16 at most stations the last week or so...........but I did see it one evening hit $4.35.
