Wow we had HAIL storm in Florida yesterday...

I saw hail for the first time in my adult life yesterday.  Aside from my incredulous disbelief the next two thoughts were "Molly" (our residential ferral cat that I am trying to socialize) and " MY LILIES".  I feared what type of damage they would get as I've heard from other people after they get hail that the pads were shredded.  Went out this morning and yup, looks like a shredder went out there or someone used the pads for paper target practice....

The lilies will send up new pads quickly and then I just remove the shredded ones.

Mine usually get hailed on at least once a year.  Last week wass the first for this season.

Crazy weather across America!  Can't imagine my poor lilies having to go through that.  We barely get enough sun here in the mornings through so much fog and the rains!

Yeah DH said "Hey they look scarred!" as in the pads develop red boundaries around where they were injured.  Not good for pics right now.
