Pond Vac's: OASE 3 vrs Pond Monsta
« on: May 15, 2011, 09:53:55 AM »
Currently I have an 14x44' 18" deep flat bottom Lilly pond with ankle deep muck on the bottom.

I have used up two shop Vacs QSP 20's over the years.  I do not like foam filters or stopping to empty them.

Two pond vacs are the Pond Monsta and OASE 3.  Are there others I should be looking at ?

I don't like the foam filters on the OASE.

I like the submersed impeller idea on the Monsta but am worried about how sturdy the extendable handle is.

With the pond vac i would often find a few fry in the discharged muck esp when cleaning a pond down to an empty liner.  I expect the Monsta could grind the fry.
