Advice for restarting pond after fish loss

As you may have read we lost our fish during the winter. We have been draining the pond and cleaning it. Before we refill it and especially before we get new fish should we disinfect it with anything since there were fish decaying in there for who knows how long before we discovered them? If so, what do you suggest we use?
