I assume you are resizing them?
Sometimes uninstalling the program and reinstalling makes a difference.  I am NO WHIZ at this.  Better techie's may respond.

If you google 'microsoft resizing tool' I think you will find what you need.  This program is free and it's what I use.  It doesn't take long, I don't think it's a very big program.

Jerry, I was trying with my canon program, but they won't go small enough. I am no techno girl.
KittyZee, I will try that. Iused to have a program, then we wiped everything off when we got a virus and that is one of the programs that was deleted. I can't remember what it was.

Kathy ~ I, too, have been having problems uploading pictures from my husband's Canon. I used to have a "wizard" program that automatically uploaded the pictures from the camera. Now I have to open my editing program to be able to retrieve and edit them.  A PITA, but at least I can still see the pics online somewhere!

the VSO resizer works fine and it is free.  Google it.
It worked with my canon and still does with a Nikon point and shoot!

I use the free one from Microsoft too.  The one I use is for Windows XP..........yep, that's right........my puter is an antique.  It is super simple to use, just a right click on the picture!

I'm hearing ya Karen, my desktop is XP...the laptop is Vista.  Who can keep up with technology anyway.  I tried, and I quit!  But the microsoft resizing tool is so easy, like Karen said.  Just right click on the picture, pick the size you want, and it's done!   :)

I'd like to also recommend http://www.picnik.com

It's a free online service for editing pictures.

Registration is optional and you don't need to install anything on your computer. Works with Mac or PC and all major web browsers. My favorite feature is that it allows you to edit pictures that already part of your social networks such as Facebook and Flickr.
