Thanks!!! @ Tink, they start moving when they here my back door open. It hangs and makes a noise that gets them stirring.
@ Howell, I have babies in my small pond. We will see if we get some asagi's. Keep up the great work with your band.

There is nothing shy about an asagi-and it looks as your two already know the ropes when it comes to finding the best spots for food....Nice to see another Asagi fan on board....One fish- two fish- everyone needs a blue fish  @O@ @O@.....

To be truthful I started tracking down an Asagi when I saw Fred and Ginger. Thanks Lawanna.  @ Julles..Bite your tonge.lol.
@ Michi.. I bought the one on the left last year at the Louisville koi show. He was 5 inches and the one on the right was a birthday gift to me from the same show this year..same Size. Maybe 13 and 16 inches.

Feed me redDAD, feed me.  I was lucky enough to see the one he got this year in the bag.  Beautiful.

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

You'll never regret that decision...So these are fairly young koi--make sure not to feed any color enhancing food to them or your liable to see alot of hi come up in the blue areas and on the head.....I'd love to see a larger more close up shot of them ..of course now you'll never be able to be with out them--to me their personalities are just soo different from the other koi--I've been told that it has alot to do with them being the first known variety--So they have alot more of the wild tendencies....We know have 6 in the pond--we kept another Fred and Ginger baby this Spring and he has already doubled in size....

I've always loved Asagi!

I was lucky enough to come up with a few when I bred Shusui a long time ago. Those sold out at a local Koi show, right way. The last of them were scooped up by another breeder who took them to another show that same weekend because he'd run out of his own. I took it as a compliment, but also knew that it had a lot to do with the ever-changing fads for the different varieties.

In any event, when I do finally get another Koi pond going, Asagi/Shusui will definatley be part of the population!

Enjoyed the pic! (And the memories it brought back.)
