My last day is today

Oh my goodness am I having a busy week! Today is my last day at my job in Florida and we're moving ourselves to Texas next week. Hoping to leave Monday or Tuesday, close on the new house Wednesday, start the new job on the following Monday. DH is flying back to Florida to finish some work on the house next weekend and should be back over in Texas about 2 weeks after that. I still have to do something with my waterlilies...maybe I'll dig them up this weekend and ship them to myself. Sheesh, like I need to deal with that on top of all of this other stuff!!!

Sounds like you need a Calgon moment    It will so be worth all of the hard work though. Good luck with the waterlilies, that's a big job in itself.

Hi everyone! I just got my first PDA style phone a few days ago w/unlimited data plan so I am checking the forum through my phone!! This is the Samsung Blackjack through cingular...anyway...

Tammie, that's a super generous offer, but I know you're busy.

Gary, not a chance!!! We might not leave until Tues so we can watch live at the ODome. Also to keep an eye on our house...there was rioting when we won in '95!

Well, we were going to try to stay in Gainesville through Monday night so we could watch the national championship game at the ODome...but realized we must get to Texas in 2 days...it's easier than doing it in 1. So we're heading to New Iberia, LA, tomorrow and plan to see the Tabasco factory Tuesday morning before driving on to Dallas. Gainesville to Louisiana should be about 10 hours (pretty much a straight shot on I-10) and then day 2 is about 8 hours. I'm meeting an online friend in LA (not watergardening) on Tuesday morning.

So the next time I check in, I'll be a Texan!

Thanks again for all of the well wishes. I think we will like Texas too! Now we need to keep our fingers crossed that our FL home sells fast!!!
