The #!!*) pear tree that makes a mess in a small pond had some visitors this afternoon.
There were two feeding in the tree but I only photographed one.

Aww, what a cute little guy. Hey, I think he's poking holes in your pears! Thanks for sharing...I don't see many of those woodpeckers even though they are here....somewhere!

Great pictures. I have walked thru many of woods in southwestern Michigan in search of a Pilated woodpecker but have never seen one myself. What an experience you had.

Great pictures. We have three of them that stay right around our house in the winters. It's hard to get pictures.........they scare really easy. I sure didn't know they ate pears!
