Two unusual blooms
« on: August 14, 2011, 03:35:40 PM »
We recently took a long trip to Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria. Thankfully, our pond survived the intense temperatures while away. Here is a short blog post about two unusual blooms in the pond.

I hope to spend some time (perhaps next weekend) with a post on the Butchart Gardens in Victoria.

Hi Jessica,

I hope you had a good trip! I'm sorry I missed you. We must have crossed paths on the ferry since I was in Victoria on the 31 July and 1 Aug for our family get together.
The mosaic plant is cool looking and so are the Red Indian Goddess. Sadly I can't seem to keep my trops alive through the winter here so I'm not bothering for the time being but do hope to try again some day.
I really enjoying seeing the photos here and dream of the day I will be able to grow them again.

Hi Maryvonne, I'm sorry we got so close to you, Krista, and Sean and didn't connect! My conference kept me very busy and we only had public transportation. The pacific northwest is so beautiful that I imagine we will return before long!

Thanks all for the kind words--glad you enjoy the photos!
