Dress up a Stock Tank???
« on: October 08, 2011, 04:03:50 PM »
So I "pulled the trigger" and got a 6 foot diameter stock tank 2 foot deep for my watergarden/pond.  I want to dress it up to not LOOK like a stock tank.  I would like to (of course), do these as cheap as possible without it LOOKING cheap. :search:

I have thought of paint, but that isn't my first choice.  Another choice is tile?  But would it stick, and that could get pricey.  Next would be the landscape retaining wall rocks, but that might be a little too pricey too.

Then of course building some type of wooden structure, but then I'd have to figure out how to dress THAT up

What do ya'll suggest?

Surround it with potted plants!
I do with Agave's.  Little water is needed. You may not have the climate for those.

I put white vinyl lattice around mine.  Bends easily, comes in 2' high sizes.

Reedman, where did you get the bendable lattice?  Does it come in wood colors, or just white?

Home depot, Lowe's, that type of store has the lattice.  Same section as the wood lattice.  Comes in 4x8 and 2x8 - 2x8 is what fit exactly around my 100-gallon stock tank.  Stock tank has a lip around the top, lattice fits right under the lip.
