A walk by the pond and garden today.

bottom pic is red ear eating canned fish, yes he takes it into the water.
Top is my "turtle beach" yes, I know, wrong species. I am hoping for egg laying there.

If those are all the same species, it does look like you have a male and a female there.  In the top photo, the two on the beach, the one with the long tail is probably a male, and the other a female.

Mine have been mating like crazy, and I have seen some egg laying, too.

You are right.  I had one egg i know of last year. She laid in on a rock!  Go figure.
