It was 106F, tied the record from 1990.  Today's forecast is another 106F.  We have had a few straight days of 105/106F already.  This summer is gonna be HOT!

Good idea Kim!  Our high on Friday was 106 again with a low of 74.
We had hail in March and still have a lot of roofing going on in the area.  I feel so bad for those guys.
We are also in a drought and have burn bans.  Looks like no fireworks for the Fourth of July.

Same here Karen, burn ban, no fireworks.  Everything is so crispy, I took my pots of petunias and put them in a soap dish/pan with big rocks in the bottom. Filled it up with water, only way to keep they hydrated.  Glad I planted droubt tolarant flowers this year.

I did the same thing Kim!  But boy the petunias really soak up a lot of water...and as for the tomatoes, jeez!!  I have a patio tomato I though I'd try this year, I literally had to put it in a small bucket and put water in it.  When I check on it, the tomato has sucked up all the water!   :)  It was 95* here yesterday...we had a couple of showers and man, is it humid.   :o

In the 90's here again today.  Quite the heat wave we've been having and the humidity is supposed to get worse for the entire next 7 days at least.  I sure hope we get the rain they've been promising, as everything is going to get very crispy soon if we don't.

Wow, you guys have it much hotter then here where I am at in Central Florida. It was 97 F for the high forcasted for this week.  Incidentally, I was wondering if anyone else's hardies water lillies are getting crispy around the edges and curling up? I don't know if it because of that and the pads  affected are the ones that are stacking up out of the water (forgot the proper term for that).
My next female cat will be called "Whata Lily"!

I've been on a staycation but going here and there.  I'm sure most of the people here were melting too.   Our hottest was yesterday July 7th, it was 107 plus heat index.  Couldn't even get in the pool, it was like sitting in a microwave oven.  Ten minutes and your fried.

It seems to have broke tonight too, storm came through and its 76 out.  Last 10 days it would still be in the high 90's at this time.  Hope it stays gone.

In the 90's again today and really humid.  Thunderstorms all around us and we still didn't get a drop of rain.  I'm afraid I'm going to have a lot of dead plants with the serious lack of rain this summer.
