N. immutabilis in Canada
« on: July 01, 2012, 12:33:41 PM »
I have had this lily for several years. This is a plant I received from Rich Sacher while visiting him in New Orleans. The seed stock came from Andre Leu.

I always look forward to this beauty blooming for me up here in Canada. It stays small in my display pond taking up no more than a 3’ x 3’ area 12 inches deep.

Here is N. immutabilis

Cheers,
Sean

Just beautiful. I have it too. I am hoping the tuber does not go dormant because of the heat here.

With my titanium heater, my water stays at about 85F most of the year and I have not had issues with it going dormant. I wonder if ambient air temps affect it for you when it gets too hot?

I have seen photo's of yours and you let it grow out much larger than mine. I am envious of the size yours gets. The bloom looks fuller.

I did not know tropical tubers would go dormant in the heat! Are'nt they supposed to love the heat?

Really like those colours - my old school don't you know..

Is it just me, or does that bloom look a whole lot better on day one than day six? ;D

cheers,

Mike

Anytime I see something screech across a room and latch onto someone's neck, and the guy screams and tries to get it off, I have to laugh, because what is that thing?
