I go to a place that sells pulverised dirt. We bought a cubic yard of dirt this year. Last year we bought 2 cubic yards. But then we have a trailer. Most people do not plant as many tropicals as I do. I also use it for marginal water plants.

When I dug my lily pond....anyway I still have lots of dirt, nice clay, in a nice neat pile. Wish I could share with everyone.

My yard dirt is gone and what I have left is used too many times. The dirt I buy is $30 for a cubic yard. Hubby says about 800 lbs.

I have been using bagged top soil that I buy at Home Depot. Can't remember the brand but its in white bags with red lettering and its about $2.00 a bag. I've used it for a number of years as it is mostly plain dirt with virtually no junk in it. HOWEVER, the last bag I bought was not the case. It was full of wood chips and junk and quite a bit of wood shreds floated to the surface of the pond when I sat the lilies down in, even though the soil was already wet.
Bagged soil would probably get very costly for you with so many lilies.
