Back surgery Monday!

I am to be at valley Presbeterian at 5:30 in the morning! The procedure is called a Laminectomy.
It will widen a canal in the spine that the nerves run through.
Never had back pain! It is murder on my legs.  A few hundred yards or less and I am done!
My  hospital stay will be overnight if i am lucky,2 to 3 days otherwise. :'(
Recovery is 10 weeks. Yes therapy too.

Me scared?  Hell yes. {:-P;;

I am fine sitting around it's just short walks like in a big store, that are murder.
Id like to take some trips, but id never keep up.  This will fix that.

I just spoke with Jerry's wife Elaine at home and I also spoke with Jerry who is still in the hospital.  He is still in quite a bit of discomfort but if everything goes according to schedule he will go home tomorrow.  The surgery was more painful than he expected but hopefully he will make a full recovery in a few weeks.

It's good to know it's over and he's looking at going home--he will heal faster there I'm sure!  Prayers and good wishes coming your way Jerry--you just can't keep a good man down!   :hug: Thanks for the info Mikey!  ;)

Had s super young man therapist today  he was surprised at my range of motion.
Over 40 years as a gym rat must have been of value.  O0
