DD got her part in Cats today
« on: February 13, 2007, 07:07:44 PM »
She's absolutely thrilled!  All the ninth graders got small parts because that's how they do it.  She got Carbuckety and she's beside herself . . . she's got several lines and is on stage throughout most of the show.  She has no singing solo, but she didn't really expect one given the circumstances.

And I get to knit 25 cat tails . . . . . can't grow them, so must knit them . . . . .

Congrats to your daughter.

Sounds like fun knitting all those little tails.  I bet they'll be cute.

Way to go! My daughter has been in the show choir for several years now. She is a junior and I love going to see her perform.
I must admit that this year when I went to see her she was wearing a skin tight lepord skin suit. (she is as tall as me) from neck to knees with bell bottoms. My jaw dropped for sure. MY LITTLE GIRL!!!!!!OMG I looked around to look for all the boys drooling.

I'm slowly getting over it, but not too slowly.

It's fun watching them perform, but, THEY GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm slowly getting used to it, but the first time some punk shows up looking for my little girl, it won't be prettyD! :)
All I have to say is enjoy her while she is performing!!!!!!!!!

Ya know Steve, I've seen the costumes that they wear in this musical and I'm pretty sure this girl's Dad is going to have a heart attack when he sees her in hers . . . . she is definitely growing up . . . . .

and how did you manage to keep the punks away this long if your daughter is a junior?

Tell her we are proud of her for having the courage to perform and entertain people. I was always so afraid to get up in front that when I had to, it would handicap me.

And good for you Teresa for being a great and supportive mom.
