So the colors are achieved with the camera, not computer photo editing? Those pictures are nice and clear. Is the DD I see the one in Cats?

Yep, that's all the camera - I downloaded that with the picture retrieve program that comes with Windows and it does NOTHING at all.  The camera will take black and white or black and white with one color (your choice) - thus the tennis ball in the black and white dog pic and many of the girl pics - or it will swap one color for another in your pics.  It has all kinds of fanciness that I haven't begun to play with yet . . . . and don't really know how to but I'll figure it out.

And yes, that's the DD who will be in cats . . . . my oldest.  Never ever tell her I posted pics of her with her headgear on or I will die an early and painful death . . . .teenagers!!!  (I'll remove the pics in a day or two . . . .)

What great pictures Teresa!
That is amazing that it can do that with the one color. I must have missed it, but what brand/model is it?

Hi stranger!  Those are great photos.  I can't believe how big your daughters are!  I'm a mom now too: Liana turned two in October.  Time flies by so very quickly.  Sean nudged me into activating my account.  (Chasing you guys around was kind of hard, and I've been focusing on koi health stuff for the past few years.)

Thanks Lynne - I think she's gorgeous, but I'm not exactly impartial . . . .  Good to see you back here - this place is pretty stable now, but still not so much a koi board.  Babies grow very quickly and become teenagers before you know it . . . . watch out!

Steve the camera is a canon S3 IS . . . . DH and my youngest picked it out for me . . . it's pretty cool and still easy enough for an idiot like me to use . . .

Oh you will love the S3, I have the sister to your camera, the S2.  Once you get the hang of it you will love it!!!  If you have any questions feel free to ask, our cameras are very similar.  I don't know if your interested or not, but here are a couple forums that I have found to be very helpful with my camera.

Oh and if you want any accessories for your camera, like a telephoto lens, filters, etc. this place comes highly recommended ( I have used them myself)     www.lensmateonline.com

You are very welcome Teresa.  I was so overwhelmed when I first got my camera.  I went out and purchased a book that explained aperature and shutter speed.  I always just used my previous cameras on Auto mode.  Then I discovered what the P mode was about and now I've moved up to using the aperature priority mode the most.  I've even been daring and have used the Manual mode as well.  It will get easier and please feel free to email or PM me anytime with any questions.  I even used my S2 to take my stepsons Senior pictures and I was so pleased with how well they turned out!!  It's a great little camera!

Interesting photo's Teresa, I like the color replacement on black and white.
Oh, your seed is in the mail, I popped them in the box at about 2 am during my break.

Great to see you signed up Lynn! I hope you saw that we do have Koi specific boards here, hint hint.
We are not here to compete with any other board but we do have the option for people to chat about their wet pets. By the way, we do have a board about fish illnesses with nary a post in it, perhaps you could help us out there ;)

Cheers,
Sean

Thanks for the seeds Sean . . . . I'll let you know how well they grow . . . .
