Hi Guys,  Just thought I would drop in and say hello.  I'm looking forward to reading about your ponds and seeing pictures.  Our pond is three years old and we have seven koi kids.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.  I haven't figured out how to post pictures.  What buttons do I push?  Things are pretty brown here in Georgia, and this current cold snap has really hit hard.  This is our first year with the Russelll Water Garden system, so I'm hoping we can avoid the annual spring cleanout. I'll have to get out the waders when things warm up a little, and stir up the gravel.  That will tell the story if we need to do it. Hope everyone had a Happy Valentines day. :)

Today has just been a font of learning for me. Max resolutions (on another topic) and now direct uploading of photos ... I've always uploaded the photo onto my page on the web and then linked there from here.

I've a question though, Sean ... I know the host places a max storage limit on the site and I'm curious about what the limit is and what happens when the limit is reached ( oldest files drop off? or?)

Not important questions, I know, just my curiosity ...

Hi John,

We still have all the photo's ever hosted with this site uploaded to the server but it's building fast, we have several hundred meg of photo's alone hosted with American Ponders. Eventually we will need to trim back some but for now it's alright. We have lots of storage space. Until we need to trim back we will not.

The best option for posting photo's here is to first and foremost host it elsewhere if you can for free or have your own webspace. It saves on the American Ponders space for informative posts. We still have "tons of Disk space available" but at the rate of expansion in the first year and as we become more popular, we will eventually need to trim back older attachments.
