Very nice!  I like the waterfalls and the back lights for dramatic night views.  I'm going to guess...lots of work to build from the name, pond of tears.

Yup, we started building it in October 2011. My fiance is the one that named it "Pond of Tears" because it costs so much $$$ and never seems to end. This week if things go right the first floor of the pond will be done except for the hardwood decking and paint. I will post more pics later this week.

Thanks, now we have to come up with a nice color to paint the walls above the recycled wood.

I like the recycled wood too.  I'm guessing that's the filter area in the back with the almost wine barrel look...love it!  An indoor pond?  Where in No. Cal are you?  The view outside is nice.

Yes, we used the old wood from the deck for the lower part of the walls and we used a old Hot tub that we originally got for a QT tank for wrapping the 400 gallon S&G tank and 50 gallon trickle tower. The 400 gallon settling tank, 200 gallon airlift/bio, and 55 gallon sump tank are under the wood flooring. I am in the Bay Area. The pond is inside a 2 story sun room overlooking our artificial turf back yard.

How many gallons of water is in your pond?  I only ask because your equipment is so large.  If you asked me about my equipment I'd have to shrug my shoulders and say "it works well for my ponds!"

Approximately 7400 gallons, plus the S&G and trickle tower.

This week we are working on getting our 275 gallon totes setup for water changes. I am planning on using 4 totes per water change... 2 for draining and 2 for filling with water treated with PP. We have a fifth 275 gallon tote that will not be treated and that will be feeding 2 55 gallon barrels for watering the trees and garden. We are also wiring in a Rain8Net irrigation controller for the watering and also for trickle filling the pond. I am installing a carbon water filter for the trickle fill to remove chlorine.

So God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Updated pics...

We changed the entrance to the Home Theater.

As you can see we still have some more work to do to get this completed... Hard to work on it when it is working. Need to get off my butt and get it finished too. :)

Thanks, I am hoping this next year I will be able to afford the IPE for the rear left corner, and bridge, hand rail,  and a drum filter.
