As we suffer through the winter's cold I thought I would post a daily thread that would warm our hearts and let our minds drift towards warmer days approaching. Enjoy our journey towards spring!

It has been warming a little for the last few days versus the dreadfully cold first of the week.

However, it is not so warm to cause us to forget that it is still winter and spring is still months away. Grab a Danish, sit back, and dream of summer's blooms!

It is 43* currently. Not nearly as cold as a week ago, but still a reminder that spring is still months away. So once again, we grab a cup of hot chocolate and dream of spring.

Mondays are usually gloomy days, but in the winter they are even worse. Add to it being Monday, today is cold and rainy. A great day to daydream of spring and warm sunshine to plant plants for summer blooms. So as you dream of coming blooms, enjoy these.

Ahh! The sunshine feels good today as it is 43* on its way up to 50*. This sunshine will be nice to walk in for some exercise, but I still am dreaming of spring and summer.

Yesterday was a nice 50* and sunny. Not a bad day for mid-winter. However, a cold front came in during the last night and so today will be brisk and much cooler. Another day to wrap up in a blanket, sip on hot chocolate and dream of spring.
Arc-en-ceil is a lily that is worth having just because of it's beautiful pads. The coloration of the pads range from brick red to lime green, with cream coloration of flecks on the pads.

I woke up to 20* weather. Upon seeing the temperature, I immediately began thinking of spring. Did you think of spring today?

Another cold day and this one started with a dusting of snow flakes. Another day of justified day dreaming of spring and summer!

Arc-En-Ceil was one of my best bloomers last summer even if not the showiest. I just love variegated pads.

Arc-en-ceil is very unique and a beautiful lily to have in the pond.
Another cold day here makes it another good day to dream of spring. Get your catalogs and your coffee and lets think of warm days, and green plants in the ponds.

As I recover from surgery I have lots of time to dream of spring. One of the first things I will need to do is divide lotuses. Unfortunately I will not be able to lift the amount of weight needed to lift the pots. I will have to hire a helper and teach them how to divide lotuses. I can't wait to wash the dirt off of the plants and see what tubers are hiding. Lookout spring, here I come!

For some reason my pictures will not post here. I have tried many times throughout the day and cannot get them to post. All I get is an internal server error window when I try to post them.

For the fist time since last Monday it is finally above freezing. I do not think it will be warm enough to melt the ice on the ponds, but at least it is warmer. The sun is shining, and the weather being a little warmer reminds me once again of spring.

A great day today, except for very windy! The high is near 60* but the wind reminds me that another cold front is coming through. It is to be down to 3* tomorrow night, and 4* Tuesday night. Please winter, give us a break! Below freezing again all week?

With ponds full of lilies, and buckets of stored tubers, I anxiously await spring! I am excited to see the plants each day as I go into the greenhouse, but I will be more excited to see the new growth of spring. In the meantime, the tubers are just getting stronger and larger. Let me know if you are looking for something new this spring!

It was 5* yesterday morning and suppose to be nearly 70* tomorrow.

Winter, gotta love it.

I noticed several tiny green pads under the ice this afternoon.

This is the third day that we have had single digit temps during the night. We were at 13* at 8 am, but are to get up to 42* by this afternoon. Finally above freezing! Come on spring!

Gonnere is a beautiful lily.

The forcast for yesterday was wrong. The weatherman even admitted he made a mistake. The actual high temp was only a dreary 32*. We are not to get out of the 30's for at least the next five days with snow possibilities.
