Plants Needed for Pesticide Filtration Science Fair Experiment
«

My 9th grade daughters are conducting a science fair experiment to see how effective cattails, hardstem bulrush & parrotfeather plants are in removing Triazicide from Chesapeake Bay basin runoff. The experiment will be run climate controlled, indoors under lights. Unfortunately, our timing is off as local plants (Northern Virginia) are now dormant and not stocked. Therefore, it appears that we will need to spend a lot to mail order the plants from California. I am posting to see if anyone could offer an inexpensive solution for these budding young scientists.
I think they need three to six of each plant type and could substitute other common wetland plants. Thanks!

Anacharis, rush (corkscrew), and water celery are still growing in my pond (Northern Neck) and I have plenty to share. PM if interested, might also be interesting to get oysters for a comparison.
