My Main Man....
« on: March 10, 2007, 04:43:52 PM »
I mean, my Maine Coon man,  Willow II...  o(:-)

And my familiar,  Selkie...  8)

When we got home from visiting LIjohn today, (and shopping at Lowes and Sam's club,) these cats seemed to be posing for me, begging for a photo, so I shot them. ;)
Peace to all  ... Joyce

Willow is so majestic, and Selkie's eyes are so, well, I guess that I just love seeing them.
Charlie is starting to get used to me. O0

Had to add a new pic of Charlie

Adorable. But you have Lowe's and Sam's on L.I. now?  8) That's cool, never had them when we lived there.  >:(

I adore Maine Coons. So big, so adorable! Great pics.

OH Steve, Charlie is so handsome...looks like Willows brother! o(:-)

Thanks Karen, yup, we have HD in Riverhead, an Lowes at exit 64 on the LIE.
All within the last 5 years or so. 8)  (since we moved back from NC)

Debbie, Willow is such a mush, he's like a dog, loves all over everyone.
If you were here, he'd flop down on your lap, roll over and give you his bedroom eyes.
His look is so: "I know you want me."
His purr is so deep and loud, you'd feel it in your gut. :o

Willow II when he was a kitten...

When I saw that first pic of Willow II I thought "Man has he grown!"

We couldn't find Cat2 when we got home from the beach and she didn't show up for several days . . . .got home wednesday and didn't finally see her till Saturday.  Scared the bejeezus outa me - and Steve was home the whole time, so she wasn't alone!  She was very ticked off when she came home - apparently he never gave her canned food while we were gone . . . . poor baby!

Well Joyce he sure is pretty. and you guys are makeing me really want one of these coon cats. I'm afraid dh would have a compleate cow if I got one. Right now I'm working an the cutiest little girl! She is half Bosten Terriorand half English Bull. she is soooo cute and sweet. she's not a puppy but the people need to find her a new home. I thought I would just bring her in and put her on Bill's lap and not give him a chance to say no. The people said if it's still a no I could either bring her back or I could find her a home?
I'm just happier outside!

Nice pictures Joyce. The one of Willow baby is so cute.

My SIL had a MC but it wasn't a very good host. We were visiting one time and standing talking in the kitchen. Evidently my DH had been staring at this male and all of a sudden he raced over and began beating a tatoo on my husbands thighs. The cat had been declawed so no damage was done. We laughed so hard because you could literally hear the thumps he was giving Pete. Must be he felt threatened by Pete's supposed stare.

Very beautiful.
Selkie, looks so regal, you don't usually see them sitting that perfect and straight.
Maine Coons get pretty big, don't they" How big is he? Love that pose, too.

Last time Willow was weighed (almost 2 years ago, still a kitten), he was 22 pounds, but he has put on a few.
He is not overweight though. Maine Coons have a tendancy to become obese.
But Willow is an indoor-outdoor cat and gets LOTS of exercise.
Pretty soon it'll be butterfly chasing season,  ::)  and he'll drop the couple pounds of so he seemed to put on over the winter. Could be his VERY thick winter coat too.

Esther, yes, MCs can pack quite a punch. They have HUGE paws.
Thank goodness mine are not declawed, they can defend themselves.
(and not have to endure the pain of amputation)
Willow loves to slap me around a bit, and it is all in fun...not agressive.
It's just the way he plays with me, and trys to get my attention if he feels he is being ignored. :(

Teresa, yes, Willow sure has filled out...especially this winter. :o
This is the thickest coat of fur he has ever had, and it started last fall.
We thought the winter was going to a be a lot worse, judging by his fur.
But we think he is finally matured, no more kitten left in him, and now he has a grown up coat.

Actually, he is glaring at me right now and lashing his tail, cuz I plopped him off my computer table.
I can not type when he is straddling the keyboard and blocking the monitor. ::)
Peace to all  ... Joyce
