Last time Willow was weighed (almost 2 years ago, still a kitten), he was 22 pounds, but he has put on a few.
He is not overweight though. Maine Coons have a tendancy to become obese.
But Willow is an indoor-outdoor cat and gets LOTS of exercise.
Pretty soon it'll be butterfly chasing season,

and he'll drop the couple pounds of so he seemed to put on over the winter. Could be his VERY thick winter coat too.
Esther, yes, MCs can pack quite a punch. They have HUGE paws.
Thank goodness mine are not declawed, they can defend themselves.
(and not have to endure the pain of amputation)
Willow loves to slap me around a bit, and it is all in fun...not agressive.
It's just the way he plays with me, and trys to get my attention if he feels he is being ignored.

Teresa, yes, Willow sure has filled out...especially this winter.

This is the thickest coat of fur he has ever had, and it started last fall.
We thought the winter was going to a be a lot worse, judging by his fur.
But we think he is finally matured, no more kitten left in him, and now he has a grown up coat.
Actually, he is glaring at me right now and lashing his tail, cuz I plopped him off my computer table.
I can not type when he is straddling the keyboard and blocking the monitor.
