Wow, I love the one on the right in the second picture!  What beautiful markings!  Your fish are huge compared to mine, but then again my pond isn't even a year old yet.

Cindi, your fish aren't going to ever get that big being they aren't Koi. But your goldies will surprise you.

Esther is quite right...goldies don't get as big as koi....it really depends on what variety goldies you have as to how big they will get...I have seen comets get quite large but, not no where near as big as koi ....and for a koi to get large it depends on water quality, good genes, and pond size...

Lawana, the koi are beautiful, I've been looking for an Asagi, but being close to capacity I have to find the one that makes my heart skip and won't break the bank.  I got to see some goldfish the other day out from under the ice.  They are always the first, the koi are a bit more shy to venture out, however my little platinum made a showing.  Can only hope the others are fine o( under there.

goldies can and will get very large under the right conditions. i had two goldies that were 15 years old and both were about 20 inches in length. i had them for 10 years and a couple of years ago, one started to turn white and eventually turned all white and the other stayed orange. the white one died last summer, from an unknown ailment.
take a look in this photo and the orange fish towards the bottom is the male of the large goldies pair.

its heartbreaking to see this photo with all the beautiful koi, they are all dead now, lost them a few years back during a brutal winter.

no more koi for me.

Nice, non of our goldies, shubunkins have gotten very large.  We don't even notice to much growth on our koi, DH says it's because they use up all their energy swimming with the current of the 7500 pump he insists on having, wants to HEAR the waterfall

Marla,
the asagi were my dream koi .....I was lucky enough to find an importer willing to trade plants for them....They both have soo much personality they have captured the hearts of alot of people...and they totally love to show out when they know someone's watching....Gingers favorite thing to do is her submarine rise when I sat on the edge of the pond or to set inside the DIY skimmer to suck food out of it...Imagine a 2'+ koi sitting inside a dog dish sucking food out of it...so we are going to make the new pond with a bench that extends all the way around the pond so we can sit on the side and watch them..these two are well known around these parts...even the ups guy has to go over to the pond and see them everytime he comes....the meter reader guy is the same way...

 Louis,
Boy that is one big goldie....at first glance I thought it was a koi..... I have had alot of customers tell me their comets got huge....and I have heard that wakins can get quite large too....Soo sorry to hear you lost all of your beautiful koi....I am soo attached to some of mine...I can't imagine loosing them...

They look great.  Love the colors, can't wait to go see mine.   If it ever warms up and stays warm.
