Ok, not sure what to do
. Last year I brought my lotus in and placed them in the basement pond, lights overhead, but water unheated. I did not know if they would survive like this because I have never had lotus. Yesterday when adding water I noticed to my surprise that one of them is actualy sending up a shoot. Question, I had planned on putting them in a different container, am I assumming right that now it is to late, or can I carefuly transplant it to another pot with better dirt and compost. What size would be best, if I can. Right now they are in a normal size pot like for hanging baskets, the tuber was very small when I originaly got it. One is a Baby Doll and the other is a Carolina Queen. I know someone else posted a simmilar question, I remember reading it and I thought it may have been here but I could be wrong, I just can't seem to find it for the answer. Our pond is now ice free, but the water is only 40* which is colder then the basement and I don't want to kill it by putting it out there now.
