Wow! that's awesome. Can I have one?  8-)~

It should make a great pool for the little critters. I can see the beautiful moss growing on it already where it spills over into the pond.

Oh boy, what a find! That will be great! The birds should love it, I have a robin that comes every day for his bath on my flat slate.

Wow, now thats a nice rock.  O0
If I were to ask my hubby to drill a hole in a rock like that, I'm sure I would get "the look".
Be sure and post pics when its done.

When I had the big pond built, I wanted a big rock near it for me to sit on and watch the fish.  I had the hardest time making the landscaper understand what I wanted.  He brought me half a dozen benches which I sent back.  Then he brought me polished marble hunks to make a bench out of - those also went back.  He got closer when he brought me some granite stones to make a bench out of, but those went back too.  I finally just got in the car and drove him to the stone yard, found a nice sitting rock and said "Get that and put it just above the pond."  He was completely dumbfounded.

I still love that rock.

Don't have a great picture of just the rock, but if you look under the bushes on the left side of this pic - it's there so I can sit on it and watch the fish . . . . .

I didn't  ;D  They drilled it before I picked it up.

They used a jackhammer type instrument with a diamond core drill bit on it of some kind.  It takes them about an hour per foot if I remember right what the guy said.
