I was thinking of using this new preform as my planter for a lotus, would it survive being forzen solid during hte winter? Or doe sit need to be sunk where it won't be in a block of ice?

oh yeah, that pond is going to be a waterfall, maybe the lotus won't like the moving water?

The moving water isn't a big problem with lotus, but the tubers can not freeze.
