They could not used the big PondVac 3 because I had a rubber liner, and it would be sucked up.I wonder, after all it has hundreds of pounds of water on it.  I am skeptical.

I've read many many posts on how wonderful the pondvac 3 is. It was designed for ponds, I am skeptical too. Like you said the water weight alone would hold it in place, plus a rubber liner is not lightweight to begin with!

That is nonsense!  I use a PVIII on my liner ponds...it isn't that powerful.  I actually wish it was more powerful so it could handle tree leaves better.

That guy is full of beans!  I have 9 ponds that are lined, either with 45m or 60m EDMP (one that is lined with 6m).  I have 8 vinyl swimming pools that I use for ponds.  ALL have been cleaned with the pondvac 3!  Yes, it will "suck" the liner when you get to the last little icky stuff on the bottom - when all the water is gone.  It does not "suck" the liner when there is still water in the pond!  Even when it "sucks" the 6m liner it hasn't yet put a hole in it.
That guy just doesn't want you to buy one, then he'll be out of a job!
Tip when buying a pondvac 3 - go buy extra o rings!  Nothing worse then being all most done with a job and having to stop because your equiptment broke!  Plus you get funny looks when you're at the store and smell like the creature from the black lagoon!  lol  lol

I see my skepticism was well founded.  No Steve I have no PondVac.  They used a venturi suction device as i do, but bigger and better.
They work for a very nice woman (former and brief member) and this is what they do, maintain ponds.
They have a list of celebritiy clients!  No wise cracks Steve!I figured I could learn something by giving them a try.  I did, didn't I?
If I can get rid of junk in my garage, I would buy a pondVac 3

Thanks Tammie and all of you.

A man of your stature needs and deserves to be pampered and taken care of O0 O0
and now you have a clean pond.

Jerry if this was a Pro, he should have had something better than a Pondvac 3 for a commercial job.

I hope he didn't dump any chemicals in your pond and give you advice on chemicals! {nono}

Tammie, which O Rings do you have to replace??

No chemicals, just a little de chlor, we did a big water change.  The fish were fine.

The "Siphon" they used was 2" diameter, pretty big.
They would like to have a monthly service, not gonna happen.

I trust no pond company. One shop here that installs ponds had a pond parade. My wife and I went on half of it. There was one pond, a big nice pond, that they did the maintenance on. When there was a problem, like green water, it was either this chemical or that. They installed Aquascape ponds with no bottom drain and gravel in the bottom. Needless to say, I don't go there for supplies.

Happy ponding,

Bonnie kind of hard for me to explain, but here's a picture (hopefully!)  the red dots are the o rings I've replaced, except for the on one the lid of the canister.  But I bet I'll have to replace that one soon too.
Both o rings on the internal chambers, one at the end of the hose, where it goes into the canister and the big canister one. And one of my chambers broke too.
