Shopping for my new liner
« on: April 17, 2007, 05:27:25 AM »
I have been looking around for my new liner every one local to me is giving me prices that range from 677. to about 800. I think they have lost their mind I can get one from justliners.com with freight shipping for 390. And it is a 45 mil epdm liner.I guess it pays to shop around. This past weekend I was able to get some nice 10" blocks for 1.00 each I will post pics. of those later Home depot wanted 1.50 each for 8" plain concrete blocks. The Atlanta koi club is having a koi auction in May and they are gonna have some supplies that members not longer need for sale as well, so I will be making the three hour trip for that and hopefully I will be able to get some other items I need. Then after the auction they are gonna have an overflow sale maybe some good deals on some nice koi.
Have a blessed day

Have you looked into rubber roofing?
That is what I use, and many others as well. And it shouldn't cost nearly as much.

Good luck,
Steve

What size liner are you looking for?  I did a lot of research before getting my last liner.  I got a 20x20 for $190

I have not even thought of that. What size mil is it do you know? And does it come with any certain warranty? It is for a pond that is gonna be around 10,000 gallons maybe a little more, where is the best place to buy it. rcr203 I am thinking 25x30 that is why it has to be freight shipped that is the 90.00 of the 390.

Go to a local roofing company and talk with them. O0 They will have what you need.

Yellow Pages ;)

check this out, many different sizes, but you could get this anywhere. there are different types, and thicknesses.

azponds.com is a good place to get a liner if you don't have a local place to pick one up.

As a comparison, their 20x20 was $152, but with shipping came to $210.  I got it at my local store, Brochs, for $190.

AZ has 25x30 for $262 plus shipping.

From what I've researched and found, Rubber roofing only comes in 20' widths unless you special order, then they want you to buy a whole roll.

We're just getting ready to put down new liner because we seamed before and have a major leak so I definately will not seam again.
We need a 30'x 35' and found a place in Cincy that has 45 ml Firestone PondGard EPDM Pond Liner for $429.99 which is the cheapest that I have found within reasonable driving distance.

If anyone can sell cheaper.. I'll definately buy from them!  (hint saycheesse)

Bonnie I have ran into the same problem of them wanting me to buy a whole roll. So unless saycheese can find me one cheaper it looks like I may be buying from justliners.com. The cheapest I have found so far.

I checked the place in Cincy for you and it would cost $104.50 to ship to you, going by your zip code in your post. The total would be $404.49 so justliners is cheaper......

My source is bestnest.com which I'd never heard of until last year but luckily I won't have to pay shipping if I choose them.

If I can get them shipped to my house. Would anyone be interested in picking a liner up?  I'm waiting on the distributor to call me back with drop ship prices and also prices straight to my house.

Ok, my rep got back with me yesterday and you can buy it cheaper from someone else than me. WAAAA... they want 795.00 for a 30x50 liner and 457.00 for a 25x30.  And that's my petshop price. WOW no wonder we go broke!
I have found koi really cheap though if anyone's wanting some.  But they are sold in box lots only so that my price stays down.

No disrespect but find yourself a new distributor!
Even at retail price, a 25x30 is $299.99

Thanks for trying though.......

20x 35 there costs $460 she would be better going with just liners for $390

My liner got picked up yesterday.. keep your fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate and no more rain so the bottom can dry out enough to put the liner in.
