Thanks everyone! :)

Today at 2:15 I meet with my oncologist to discuss Phase 2: Radiation.
I am supposed to start ASAP, probably next week.
That will be 6 weeks, Monday thru Friday.
Yup, Brian, it'll be a walk in the park. (8:-)
And I can't wait for it to be over...that is why I am refusing to take a 'break'.
Mom is taking me today so she can hear what my MD has to say, and then maybe we'll do some TJ Maxx Therapy. O0

Looks like around Thanksgiving, we will really be 'Giving Thanks!' @O@

(Joann...it is still cold here!)
Peace to all  ... Joyce

I know you don't know me Joyce, I'm pretty new, which is why I haven't posted on this thread yet.  You sound like a real trooper though, and things seem to be going well for you so far.  I'm so glad to hear you are done with the chemo!!   (((hugs)))

And it's cold at night here, too.   :P

Thanks again everyone.

Saw my Onc. today and will be starting Radiation on 9-11. (ominous date!)
Will had two appts with my Radiologist before then just to get things started, etc.
Didn't pass my blood test and had to get a f-ing Procrit shot (OUCH!!! :'(  )...but what the heck...
no pain, no gain.  O0

Then we went to Target...got some necessary items like Furniture Polish and carpet stain remover.
(bought this 'Folex' instant carpet spot remover and it works like MAGIC....really!) and a glow in the dark basketball for Jamie, and some new PJs. Can't remember what else.  ?)(?  Oh, Levis stretch bootcut jeans for me. And an air freshener for the basement which is a little musty after our week of rain.

THENNNNN...we went to TJ Maxx. Got a little gift for my bosses daughter who will turn 2 in Oct. Then bought me a new hat...brown fake fur (short fur) reversable to fake leopard. Sort of a tiny brimmed bowler. Not too funky. Yeah I am wearing it now cuz it's chilly. :D

And shiney black (like patent leather) wellington style rainboots. 8)
Peace to all  ... Joyce

hi joyce, shopping does wonders for the soul. even if you buy something and then return it the next day. something about carrying all those "store" bags home.

You are right Louis! O0

But Jamies not parting with the Glow in the Dark basketball...in fact she is sleeping with it.
Talk about a scary sight on the pillow next to her head!  :o

And I am not parting with my new jeans....they make me look like a teenager! @O@

Maybe I'll return the furniture polish.  lol

An ominous date indeed, but it is also my Laura's birthday.  o(:-) No matter what, my daughter's birthday is an extra special, lucky, awe-inspiring, beautiful, never-to-be-repeated, most beautiful day.  :) May all the lucky beauty of that day reflect on you.

I mean that.  o(:-)
