Second pond started
« on: April 23, 2007, 06:15:26 AM »
We have started digging our second pond. It is gonna be a little better than 10,000 gallons the first pond had no bottom drains big mistake so we will not make that mistake with this one and we hope to correct that after the new pond is done . With any luck we are just a few weeks away from adding water. Any advice you all have would be great. As you can see we got a ways down before we hit clay and so far we have been lucky and not hit any rocks.
Have a blessed day

Wow, that's a lot of dirt to dig.  Do you know anyone that owns a backhoe?  If we lived closer, we would bring ours and have it done really quick.
It will be nice when its done.  Be sure and post more pics.

That's a lot of water, wish I had room for that. Are you going to use aerated BD's? Plumbing each one separately in 4" to a vortex or? Doing any TPR's? External pump?

Being as you already have a pond you probably know what your doing...
