The water in your older ponds is gorgeous and really clear, I realize the new one hasn't cycled yet.  I like the waterfall in the oldest pond with the long sheet of water falling, I'll bet that sounds really nice.   Beautiful work.  Can't tell you about the lotus, I'm trying it for the first time myself and mine looks about like yours but with only 2 leaves.

Joey, I'm curious about your pot filter.  How is the water pumped to it?  Is it a separate pump than used for the waterfall?  I like it and I'm thinking it could be a good filter for a small pond too.

It all looks really good.  I'm also curious about you pot filter.  My neighbor needs something for her small pond.  I made her something years ago but its wore out, and would like something that she doesn't have to clean out every other day.  I have something in mind, but the looks of that sure looks better.

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

I made one when I had the little pond. I took a big pot with no hole in it and drilled a hole just big enough to get the small hose up threw and let water run back out right at one edge. I ran the hose up to the top and filled the pot with filter media. Lava rock and 4 layers of matts. then I put the bottom tray over the top upside down so the water would hit it and run back down threw the media and into the pond. It worked great, but I like the idea of haveing one with plants. I may have to dig it out and in corparate it to this pond.

Did the same with a strawberry pot last year.  Leftover matala mat and lava rock.

With my pot filter i done this.  I got a pot and 2 bulk head fittings and some tubing and a pump. I drillrd a hole at the bottom of the pot and one at the top. I put the pump going in the bottom and let it run out the top hole. I filled with lava rock and put some filter material on top of that on one and the other i just planted a plant in the lava rocks i have never had to clean them out and the oldest one is 3 years old . Hope that helps.
