3.07 here in Ashland/Flatwoods, KY.... save 6 cents at Kroger's, 10 with $100 spent and an extra 5 with the Kroger 123 card...

$3.59 at Costco......more at name brand gas stations by 10 cents (by the way this is premium). Now I try to plan my chores to get the maximum use of my car before going out. But someone has to help support those poor oil execs

It was 3.19, but has dropped to 3.11.........I have a feeling it will drop a little when Derby is over but not much, summer Vacations are almost here.

Does anybody know what that 9/10 thing is with gas prices?

I am always tempted to buy exactly one gallon, and insist on mt 1/10 penny change.

$3.64 on my fill up this week.

If I recall, in UK gas is also sold by the liter..... EXPENSIVE

Our's was $3.19 yesterday and dropped to $3.09 today. I was nearly on empty so I jumped on the drop. With my Kroger discount I paid $2.99. So I felt like I got a bargain. But $48.00 to fill up a mini-van!!

Petrol (gas) here is almost £2 a litre (just under at £1.97)
At 4.5 litres to the gallon and 2 dollars to the pound that makes a gallon of 'gas' almost $18

I bought gas today for $2.79. There is an email going around the net asking people to not buy gas May 15... It states the last time people did this gas prices dropped by 30 cents. I am for trying that

I paid $3.39 a gallon when I filled up on Friday, but that's for hi test. It's going up every week now and I guess that will continue for a while. Almost talked my husband into a new car today . . . . he said he'd buy what I wanted when he found out that what I want is a pretty cheap car (as cars go . . .). Gets much better gas mileage than what I'm driving now too . . . .

Hi Sam,

There are 3.79 litres to a US gallon which is the measure that they use at the pump in the USA, not an Imperial Gallon as we were used to before the Metric system. So while not quite as bad as you quoted in the conversion, your gasoline is very much more than what we pay here in North America.

I drive a Dodge Diesal turck

and diesal yesterday was $3.25 per gal. What a huge rip. We all know diesal should be way cheeper than Gas.

So I'm glad I get 20.5mpg with it.

The cheapest you can get it around here right now (87 octane) is $3.29 at the 'no-name' stations.

Average is $3.39.

Funny on the way to work tonight ours had dropped to 3:15, then on the way home this morning Sun 4 am, it was 3.07. I knew it would drop some as soon as the Derby was over.

Ours is 97 pence per litre NOT £1 97

That makes it about $8 a gallon (imperial)

I thought you must have an expensive local station Sam, for those near the border its cheaper to nip across the border. I filled up in the republic for £29 I think including conversion cost and it is around £36 here.
