My laptop is an older Dell Latitude C610
My wife's laptop is using a Dell Inspiron 6000

both are just purring along and have been good for us.

Yikes, Dell's current sale ends tonite!

There's always another one coming along, but this one is pretty substantial.

Good Luck

Love my Dell Inspiron.  Purchased it at Costco.  Costco is great with returns and now they have a tech site that can help you with your purchase for FREE.  They have a special starting tomorrow.  Thinking of getting one for DH.  Usually you get a few extra accessoriess too.

Dell Inspiron 1150. Hate it, hate it, hate it. The electrical adapter is the worst part - the plug is not reinforced, so eventually the wires bend and then break, often creating a short that kills the motherboard. I'm on my third or fourth adapter and my third motherboard in a little over two years. It was covered under the extended warrantee, but dealing with the red tape that tech support required just about killed me! Last time I just bought an adapter for $30 somewhere else rather than deal with tech support again. If you go to the Dell website and read the reviews, you will see that this problem was widespread.

The rest of the computer seems OK, but this adapter issue is a fatal flaw, IMO, and I will NEVER buy another Dell.
