Pictures of "stuff"
« on: May 10, 2007, 03:31:15 PM »
We've been busy with the everyday routine lately- kids, school, laundry, etc. Our house is coming along. Here was the front porch Tuesday morning:

After enduring a two-day earthquake (actually a couple of jackhammers), this is the result:

It's been a challenge trying to keep little Matthew from all those fun, throw-able concrete "rocks".

I am also in the depths of Lego H*ll.
Kevin and I used to enjoy our yard, we'd sit at the table and enjoy our coffee:

...by the waterfall and pond:

But then an alien spaceship landed, Mom went off to buy more Legos, and the whole town went into a tizzy:

Here are the emergency personell attempting to treat the alien:

The Lego pond looks a lot better than my own pond. Got a nasty case of rotator cuff tendinitis/bursitis/shoulder impingement (whatever!) and have been extremely unmotivated to clean it and start dividing lilies.

You've been busy, Guess that explains why we don't see alot of you anymore!

Sorry to hear about your shoulder, have you been to a Dr.?
Maybe a cortisone shot would help?

Bonnie, I've been lurking here whenever possible. No I have not been to a Dr. I know, I'm bad. A cortisone shot probably would have cleared it up a lot faster.

I hope to get out of this Lego thing soon. Now that winter is over, I see no reason to be holed up in a cave, sorting thousands upon thousands of little plastic bricks.  :D  My yard is a MESS!

karen, I have chronic rotator cuff problems, but I've learned to work around it. Heavy lifting, especially while twisting, is the worst. I've learned to work around it for the most part.

SheilaJ, Thanks for the tip, will try to avoid that twisting. It was so bad that I couldn't pick up my cup of coffee. No coffee equals a VERY grouchy Mommy. I have a new appreciation for shoulders and how much we rely on them!
Today I slammed my knee with my car door. Must be bent on self-destruction.  >:( (snicker, my friends are laughing at my klutziness)

Kim, Thank you. I am very glad to have put a smile on your face.
Wish I could have put a smile on some more faces, though.

Still working through the giant lot of Lego that I got for my birthday. Things have certainly changed since I had them 30 years ago.  :D Don't know what to do with half the stuff.
