Sean came up with this good thought. Instead of returning monies we will award a tee for the next few months ,at least, for the best..... ..............ok , you tell me. Maybe, Best Post. Best Photo, Best funny, but true pond story?

Best photo wearing our tee?

or maybe something not so hard to judge .. think it would be very difficult to vote on a the prettiest pond or something like that, just to many pretty ones on here!

Then the forum should vote on the entries...also it should not be limited
to only one entry, since many significant others do such dumb things!

I think................something with pics. It'll give us all something to look at as opposed to just lengthy reading. Also, we get to see a little snip of something to to with our fellow ponders?

Maybe something pond related, but, not necessarily pics of our ponds, we might learn things too, get ideas of things to buy or do with our ponds? Like cool stuff that is "pond related", interesting fountains, spitters, new pond lighting, statues, clothing pond related, new ways of fertilizing water lilies (with pics)? I don't know, stuff like that. $:-\$

For instance, John Johns had a neat idea for lily pruning with pics he posted a long time ago, another member from Alaska (sorry, forget his name) had a very neat metal sculpture of a fish skelton on his fence.

Stuff like that, would be interesting to look at and informative because it pertains to what our forum is about, ponds! What ya think?

I'm on another pond forum and we have contests all the time. The person who wins gets to do the next contest.

We just had one where a member was sitting in a stockade and we were to come up with a humorous caption for the picture.

I did one about a year ago where they sent pictures of their feet and then the members had to choose whose were whose.

We have done a couple of puzzles using members names or pond connected info. But then, that forum doesn't have the number of members that APs has.

Sometimes we give prizes and sometimes we don't.

I haven't read all the suggestions and perhaps this has already been suggested. Once a week or once a month randomly select a day and then randomly select someone who either was on-line on the AP that day or who posted on the AP that day. In other words, if you want a tee then you must make an appearance and/or post something.

Mikey, Stephen from Koiphen used to do that. The winner was usually random- and don't get me wrong, that was fun.

However (come to think of it!) Cindy (from that forum) used to think of all kinds of fun things- like a contest for best pond poem, or haiku, or whatever. That was fun! The winner had to be creative, or "work" in order to win a prize. A simple poll or vote is the most honest way to pick a winner... no bias, and fun.

OMG, that is hilarious!

We do something similar on one of my boards, like post pics of our house and people have to guess whose it is.
