When do your tropical lilies usually send up the first pad?

Mine are just now making pads & it seems awfully late to me. We've had warm weather since March & all my hardies are blooming. I started to throw away a pot with a tropical in it yesterday & noticed it had 3 or 4 tiny pads at the crown, so I left it in.

Martha, it depends on the lily. Tropicals here start putting up pads in March. Night bloomers are always last.
Too, it depends on if the lily is just a tuber or if it was growing well over the winter. Some tropicals don't die all the way down here.

I have some small ones that I left outside. While they are not supposed to winter over here these did. They just started sending up pads this week. I live in northeast Oklahoma.

Hi Marilyn, it's Marmorata. I don't remember it ever taking this long to get going. I don't remember if I divided it last spring, but didn't do anything this spring.
