I love minature roses, I have several planted.

Yours look great.  Tiny and petite.

I need to go give mine some fertilizer, a couple of them are struggling this year so far.  But they'll bounce back.  I think I have 8 of them.

Those are very pretty Gary!

I quit growing Roses several years ago because they seemed to need more maintance than I like to give plants.
Prune, fertilize, dust for bugs, etc...

I know I am a lazy gardener!

Plus they didn't seem to grow that well for me.

Mine are mostly growing around the stream on the north side but the yellow is over 6 foot tall and grows on the north side of the stream back by the falls. There is a huge miniature climber that covers the biofalls,

Yes, I do like them but don't have any. Too much maintenance for me.

I do have 4 Climbing Miniatures, the flowers are tiny but the plants are NOT.
Sadly 1 is defoliated already from fungal disease.

Maybe they will breed Knock Out with a mini and get us some smaller roses that are no spray.

I planted 2 Knock Outs last year and they laughed at fungus!  Not the most attractive flowers in the world but they were bloom machines. They were $2 plastic package roses planted late too.

Thats wonderful. Almost every rose gets blackspot here, powdery mildew too.

Beautiful gander especially the red. We have one left from 10 years ago a coral colored. That was my hobby before I started with ponding.

I love them, and yours are beautiful.  Mine struggle every year, grow like crazy; set blooms and then the japanese bean beetles start their invasion.  They love roses of any kind.  They totally defoliate them before I can get protection on them.  And it kills everything else good in the garden too.  So I'm afraid to buy anymore. :-\

Gary,

Just lovely.
I have never had a rose until mothers day.  One of my sons bought me a beautiful peach climber.

Got any tips for me on initially planting it?

I saw a bottle of Bayer all-in-one systemic rose and flower care.

Do you have any thoughts on this product?

I love miniature roses, but haven't had much luck with them either. Yours are beautiful! I had a beautiful trailing yellow miniature a few years ago, but when I cut it back because it was going haywire, it died.  :'(

I have not tried that bayer product but I have tried others and been happy with them. In these pics you can see how tall the yellow one is I have my hand above it and its over my head but I like them that way. The climber is really big. I wanted to move my biofalls when we redone the pond but I would not take a chance of hurting that rose at all. the other miniatures are on the side of the stream your left.

I tell ya Gary........ you should NOT be working in a casino.  You are missing your calling!

LeeAnne, I might have to try the Knock Out Roses if they don't require alot of care like others....

Gander I was outside today while the wind was blowing west which means NO SMOKE and snapped two shots of the only mini I have left. This plant is 10 years old.

Gary is there anything you can't grow?  That red is beautiful and the yellow so vivid.

I use the Bayer and it works for me.  My rose bush is about 10 foot from a pasture and the grasshoppers just move in in droves.  The Bayer systemic works.  I use it on all my flower beds.  I don't have trouble with fungus...to dry here...I water with a soaker hose during the night.

GAjen...the orange is beautiful.
