Plant ID please

This plant was given to my Mom.  The person told her it was a Monkey Plant.  I have no idea if it needs sun or shade, or how big it will get.  Mom didn't want it, so its mine now. ;D

There are multiple plants called Monkey Plant, none that I know of look like that. I hate common names!
