50% Off Sale at Bluestone Perennials
« on: May 27, 2007, 08:03:15 PM »

I have not purchased from them but have read that they are reputable. The plants are said to be small but they have many named varieties cheaper than I can buy them locally in pots. Tons of perennials. Pages and pages. Lots of grasses too.

I'm sure it will!  I didn't get anything, I have too much still to plant and no where to pot up and baby them if they are small.

OH, I am supposed to baby them???? :-\  OOPS.....
 no babyin' here, plant them with a mix of organic peat humus and composted manure and give them water.  Tap my toes three times and say Grow DAMN IT! {:-P;;

Seriously, got my box today and most of the plants were nice.   Amber Waves Huchera is just alittle dried up but I think it will be okay.

The clematis are nice, small which I knew they would be but nice very healthy looking starts.

It's 93 outside right now so I will only be planting this evening and early morning.  Better for both me and the plants! :blowup:

Bonnie, so I've been forgetting to tap my toes three times? That must be it!  ;D

I do say, GROW DAMMIT, especially when it's late summer and nothing much has been happening. I've also been known to say in a threatening tone, "YOU can be replaced!"  {nono} Usually works great!

I have actually for probably the first time EVER in my life stopped looking at nurseries and online for plants!!!  :o :o I'm SO maxed out - I still have dozens on the front porch that needed to get planted a month ago. I'm maxed out in the pond and have to build another one. And I'm maxed out on houseplants - planning to sell some at a yard sale this fall once I get a minor pest issue cleared up... :redface:
