It was many years ago that Marilyn sent this to me, and I can't remember if you did call it "Beldt's Dwarf Pink"?

The new pads are very bronze and splotched, and as they mature they hold their color well, becoming a dark green with bronze splotches.

Whatever it is, it's one of my favorite lilies.

P.S. Forgot to mention- this is always the very first lily to bloom in the spring. This year, I thought Mayla was going to beat it, but nope. It bloomed first.

I love it.

What a darling lily!

My Joann Pring does not have markings on the pads. They come out solid burgundy and mature to solid green. I believe Marilyn sent it to me. It was the first to bloom this year for me.

I'm the last person to help identify -- but it looks like my Joane Pring.

I'm wrong, my Joann Pring DOES have markings on the pads. I was thinking of Perry's Baby Red. OOPS.

Well I just don't know, according to Slocum & Robinson, Joann Pring has greener pads of a lighter hue. And her flowers seem lighter. It's hard to tell from Slocum's pictures, though, because he was quite a professional photographer. His pictures would be taken at just the right moment, at just the right angle, with the right filter...

LeeAnne, Are your pads a dark, dark olive green?
