So cool, and I'm so jealous.  All I have here are the basic standard Gulf Coast Toads, which Houston is FULL of.  (and so many squashed in our streets!)

I once netted a zillion little frogs from a wild pond about 1 1/2 hours from here, and transplanted them to my pond.  Guess it's too "not natural" for them, 'cause, by two days later, I had nary a one.

Well, off they go to a more suitable habitat.

How wonderful you have that leopard frog.  I hope he brings more.

Ohhh, what a nice frog!!  What had a dozen or so leopard frogs, but the green/bullfrogs have chased them all away.  I guess we are lucky, even though our pond is small there are lots of frogs here.  Probably because our area is so wooded with streams.

Really good photos. Darling froggie. Glad to see Bullies haven't taken over the entire frog world yet.....

Oh, Kathy, he's so CUTE!!!    o(:-)  I loved raising my little tadpole, Bob, into a frog, but he was just mostly dark green and didn't have all those bright colors on him.  I'm going to have to see if I can get some leopard frog tadpoles to raise.   ;D

LeeAnne, I don't thing the Bullies have taken over the entire frog world yet.  We do have bullfrogs, and I've always considered Kansas to be in the center of bullfrog country, but they don't seem to be decimating the other frog populations around here.  I fully expected Bob to be a Bully, but he wasn't.  And I hear more Western Chorus Frogs in our farm pond than I hear bullfrogs.

I saw one of those my my over-developed neighborhood right by my large pond! It jumped right into a Lowes (11-gallon preform pond)--I was actually delighted..I hope it makes its wake to the big pond!

I wish I knew where to find some leopard frogs locally, they are such great looking frogs. If I could find some nearby I would catch a few for my pond, but the only "pond" frogs I have been able to find localy are red legged frogs, which are OK, but kind of dull looking.
