Thanks for posting those Gary. I don't know how I missed seeing your garden photos before. Must have been asleep! You have some very nice shrubs, especially the pink dogwood. I've always wanted one and hope to be able to in the next garden. I like the last two photos. Your pond area is very inviting. Anyway very lovely garden. It's no wonder the deer like it. Speaking of which I working in the garden this afternoon when my sister who was sitting on the patio asked if we had deer in our forest. We have lived here for 21 years now and never had any deer. Well today there was one at the edge of the forest. I sure hope it doesn't find our garden. Last summer we had two bears in the area for the first time too. One was caught a few streets over and the other just kept wandering around the area. We never saw it ourselves but found evidence on our driveway. It's time to move back closer to civilization!

Hi Maryvonne, thanks for the kind words and I wish you good luck on the deer..they have been the bain of my existance the last few years.  last night they tore the net off a couple of my containers and ate either a Helvola or Aurora and a Perry's baby Red!!!!

Doubble S that is a Lilac TREE.  They were very common ~ 15 years ago, but never caught on.  They typically bloom ~ 1 month after regular lilacs (on the left in the picture).  I have not heard of a regular lilac getting 30' tall!

Gary, I must have been asleep too. Your yard and garden are gorgeous. Maryvonne, when are we going to PA? He lives ten minutes from Longwood ya know!  I have a dear ;) friend in Erie? is that clear across the state? I want to see Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water too. I think it is clear across the state. Dang, I need to tour PA. Gotta stop in Bellefonte too.

LeeAnne:

 I guess you like driving Erie is ~ 5 hours away by car, Belfonte is about 3 hours.  Do you have friends at PSU?

Anyway Both you and Maryvonne would have a long road trip, but hopefully Longwood make it worth while! {:-P;;

Maryvonne is 6 hours away from me so 3 and 5 hours is no big deal. LOL. Someone told me recently that Easterners don't like to drive as far as Westerners do. No one at PSU.
